So decided not to make a video for this robot (it;s kind of hard to make a video of a robot that doesn’t move……and also it’s hard when you let someone borrow your SD card so you can’t take videos anyways). Instead – I will just wrote about it and show you all the tests I made.


This is pretty simple – This is made of 12 parts – the robot itself just needs to hold a sensor.


The program takes a reading from the color sensor every 1 second (this can be changed easily , then puts it after the time in seconds, with a coma in between (time in seconds, light reading). this puts it into comma-separated values. So I can take the .txt file it writes to, upload it onto my computer, and then change the file extension from .txt to .csv and it reads in two columns in excel, then I just have to highlight the seconds column and insert a line graph.

My next project is a datalogger, this is a reflectively easy project, yet I’ve never done it before. the hardware is just a sensor being held still but it is possible to have robots that move but I’m not going to be that complex. I haven’t made a program yet (but that should be simple) the prototype is built though and I have some pictures below. Datalogging and update on drink dispenser

If you follow me on Facebook or Google plus, then you already know that I have built a drink dispenser with a great program. that will be out when I get time to finish recording and editing.

My next project will probably be some simple data logging  So this will be focused on the program rather than the robot. Does anyone have anything they would like to see with data logging using the any or multiple sensors in the NXT 2.0 kit?This is completely open to any suggestions, even if it’s not possible for me knowing the parts I have, I’m interested in your ideas.
